Flower crowns can add a gorgeous touch to any outfit, so it’s a great idea to be able to whip one up yourself. Let’s start with something super simple but beautiful, angelic even 🙂 The flower of choice today is: Baby’s Breath.
What You’ll Need:
- Wire – not too thick, so that you can bend and cut it more easily
- Floral tape
- Scissors, or some kind of fancy cutting device
- About 45 minutes – depending on how full you want the crown to look
Step 1: Using the wire, roughly measure your head (or the head that will be wearing the crown) until you’re happy with the size. Twist the ends together to hold in place.
Step 2: Get a few strips of floral tape ready, around 10cm in length. You’ll use this in the next step.
Step 3: Cut off a few sprigs of flower-ends from your Baby’s Breath (you can use as many as you like). Holding the bunch together, position it on the wire as shown in the image above, and work your floral tape around the stalks of the flower and the wire.
Step 4: Keep adding bunches of Baby’s Breath, as described in Step 3. You can position each bunch close together for a fuller look, or leave some more space for a looser care-free feel.
And there you have it, a lovely crown that you can say you made yourself 🙂
