Real Bride: A simple, soulful wedding

I love a simple wedding.

If you’ve picked up anything from this blog so far, then you must know that I’m a simple gal. I don’t like/do lavish, over the top, well, anything lol.

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, let me get on with the business of presenting you with the next real bride. When she sent in her pictures to me I couldn’t help but be touched by the happiness and love brimming on the faces of the bride and groom.

Oh, have I mentioned that I also love a non-white wedding dress?

Well, this bride went totally non-traditional and opted for a soft, lilac Innai Red gown  with the most gorgeous back detailing for her reception.

Reception-1

The bride didn’t want to go “over the top” with the decor, so used fresh flowers only for her bouquet and the guest’s tables. The flowers on her dais (for her ‘solemnization’ or religious ceremony) were artificial! Could’ve fooled me! Also, all the flowers were white, with lighting used to give some of them a soft pink tone. Genius.

Solemnization-1

By keeping the wedding simple but still representative of the bride and groom’s personalities, and with the help of her sisters and photography taken care of by a friend, the bride was able to enjoy her day and focus on what she was really there for- to marry her best friend.
