I have been following The Babushka Ballerina on Instagram for a while now. I was drawn to, well, basically every element of their aesthetic. I love the brands that they stocked (such as Rue De Seine and Anna Campbell), the stunning photography and styling of their gowns and the sneak peeks of their stores on their Instagram feed.
To say I was beyond excited to have been invited to the launch of their Sydney store is an understatement. I wasn’t sure what to expect, having never been to a store launch (shock horror! oh the shame!) All I could envision was lots, and lots of prettiness.
I was not disappointed. As soon as I entered the store, I was blown away. There was just so much to ‘oohh’ and ‘aah’ over. Every element of the styling was on point. The bright, white space was only enhanced by the high ceilings and exposed beams, interspersed with lots and lots of hanging bulbs. Flowers adorned the various tables topped with the most beautiful jewels, headpieces, belts and statement necklaces. Cakes and metallic desserts sat amongst sumptuous roses, ranunculus and heavenly jasmine, making you dizzy just with the smell. The minimalist, rustic styling with metallic details softened with flowers was perfection.
And I haven’t even gotten to the dresses.
Dresses of delicate lace, glittering jewels and romantic ruffles lined the walls of the store. You couldn’t resist reaching out and touching them.
Cakes (made by Paddington local Sweet Art) were everywhere.
One of my favourite vignettes from the store.
This model and this dress with that flower crown. Jaw dropping.
Breathtaking Anna Campbell gowns. Just look at that intricate beading and embellishment.
Rustic styling by The Hutch Weddings.
This Rue De Seine gown had us floored.
Me with manager and creative director of TBB, Sierra. She is as lovely as she looks 🙂 Her whole look was stunning.
Sumptuous florals from Merci Bouquet.
Rue De Seine gowns were as stunning in person as they are in the photographs. And so many options for the modest bride.
Those high ceilings! Sierra here doing her thang…
Goodie bags were the bomb.
Dreamy and romantic from the exterior.
Thanks so much to Alanah and Sierra from TBB for inviting me, and having my sister too 🙂 We had such a great time and were absolutely blown away by the store.
